Telecommunication is the technique of transmitting a message from one point or place to another with the typical additional attribute of being bi-directional. In practice it also recognizes that something may be lost in the process; hence the term telecommunication covers all forms of distance communications, including radio, telegraphy, television, telephony, data communication and computer networking.
Telecommunication is the extension of communication over a distance. The elements of a telecommunication system are a transmitter, a medium (line) and possibly a channel imposed upon the medium and a receiver. The transmitter is a device that transforms or encodes the message into a physical phenomenon; the signal. The transmission medium, by its physical nature, is likely to modify or degrade the signal on its path from the transmitter to the receiver. The receiver has a decoding mechanism capable of recovering the message within certain limits of signal degradation. In some cases, the final "receiver" is the human eye and/or ear (or in some extreme cases other sense organs) and the recovery of the message is done by the brain. One of the roles of the telecommunications engineer is to analyse the physical properties of the line or transmission medium, and the statistical properties of the message in order to design the most effective encoding and decoding mechanisms. Telecommunication can be point-to-point, point-to-multipoint or broadcasting, which is a particular form of point-to-multipoint that goes only from the transmitter to the receivers.
Accessing telecommunication technology and the broad range of services behind it has been an ongoing challenge for people with disabilities. With technology continually changing and mobile phones shrinking in size, the gap between people with disabilities and telecommunication technology has grown. But up to a great extent telecommunication inventions and technologies helped people with disabilities in an efficient manner and by the great inventions in telecommunication field people with disabilities overcome on their problems. Modern telecommunication systems are capable of transmitting telephone, fax, data, radio, or television signals.Telecommunication systems can transmit large volumes of information over long distances. Digital transmission is employed in order to achieve high reliability with minimal noise or interference and because it can transmit any signal type, digital or analog. For digital transmission, analog signals must be subjected to a process of analog-to-digital conversion. Most television, radio, and voice communications are analog and must be digitized before transmission. Transmission may occur over cables, wireless radio relay systems, or via satellite links. |

0845 number has immense benefits. If you have a business, you must have a number of customers around the country. By using 0845 number, your customer can call you from anywhere in the UK by paying no more than the standard local calling rate. 0845 number has no connection fees and no pence/minute charges. 0845 number service is one of the lowest rate services all over the UK. 0845 numbers are non geographic number. You can target a national audience since the telephone number stands independent of your location, and nobody knows whether you are in London or Land's End, Manchester or Malmesbury. You obtain true national coverage without the need to set up local branches. 0845 number gives you both national and international coverage without the need to set up local branches. Today it is possible to access 0845 numbers from most overseas countries. To do this, caller has to dial their international access code.
0845 numbers are portable which means the number stays with your business even if you move from one end of the country to the other. Your underlying geographic number will change but your 0845 number never changes. 0845 number allows you to assign a separate number to every staff member. Where company staff have their own DDI line, it makes sense to cover each line with a 0845 number. This means that customers can call in from anywhere in the UK at local rates and if that staff member is reassigned, the number can, if wished, follow him/her to the new destination. 0845 numbers are for life. The current geographic numbering system has been changed to meet the demands brought about by an explosive growth in internet and fax usage necessitating more and more dedicated lines. The new dialing codes being introduced across the country allow for a huge increase in capacity, but further growth will bring more changes. London codes are expected to again change within 3 years. On the other hand non geographic numbers will not change for many, many years, if ever.
0845 numbers reduces your advertising cost in that you need only publish enough information to attract a prospect's interest, inviting them to phone at local call rates from anywhere in the UK for a brochure or for further information. 0845 numbers brings your business a national identity. The entire UK becomes your territory. Whether standard or memorable, 0845 number brings you a single number for all advertising and promotional purposes. It allows you to add new branches without having to change advertising. 0845 numbers are very commonly used for both sales and after sales service by a wide variety of companies. Typical uses includes brochure lines, claim lines, support lines, information lines and breakdown lines. Many companies are now opting for 0845 in preference to 0870, recognising the lower costs to the caller. Local rate numbers can be used in advertising campaigns or for customer helplines. They offer a proven way of increasing business and developing customer loyalty. Customers associate these numbers with large, quality companies and 0845 numbers allow you to market in areas where you have no physical presence. The advantage of 0845 numbers compared to 0800 numbers is the lower risk of misuse, as callers are required to pay for the call. Another great advantage of using a non geographic number is that your number can be listed with directory enquiries and in every BT phonebook in the UK. With 0845 numbers you can now let all your callers pay the cost of just a local call to contact you! Each year in the UK, millions of calls are made on 0845 telephone numbers. 0845 numbers are a sign that a company wants the customer's business and is willing to reduce the hassle and cost of contact. Having a 0845 telephone number gives you the advantage over your competition every time. Your customers only ever pay the cost of a local call when they contact you and this shows that you value their custom and portrays a very professional image. |
