0845 Numbers (Local Rate)

0845 numbers (also known as local rate numbers) are a compromise between keeping your own operating costs to a minimum and offering a cheaper alternative for your customers, encouraging them to call you. They pay the standard local rate regardless of where in the UK they are calling from.

0845 numbers can be used to simply redirect to your existing UK telephone number, or can be integrated with any of our other services from an answer phone to a comprehensive virtual service.

How do 0845 numbers work?

Your 0845 number "sits" on top of your BT type number. When customers dial your 0845 number they are redirected to your own landline. This does not affect your BT number in any way and you can take the number with you when you move.
